The "FilameNDT" project captures the attention of France's National Research Agency (ANR)

Within the scope of the joint Carnot-Fraunhofer request for proposals aimed at nurturing research partnerships between France and Germany, the ANR Agency has given the green light to the FilameNDT project.

FilameNDT proposes a set of maintenance assistance tools dedicated to cable-based infrastructure. These tools have been derived thanks to developments in the field of non-destructive evaluation (NDE) methodologies.

Following the success of the 1st International Workshop on Service Life Design for Underground Structures held in Tongji University, Shanghai, 2006, the 2nd conference on this topic is scheduled at 4-6 October 2010, in Delft, The Netherlands.
