Technical
Directions
The Technical Directions take part in the orientation and the
scientific animation of the programmes.
Places of knowledge, animation, exchanges and production,
these Technical Directions constitute the operational
organization of research.
The necessary interdisciplinarity of modern research
threw many footbridges between the Technical Directions.
This led the LCPC to structure its activities in four
great sectors - Roads, Engineering Structures, Geotechnical
Engineering and Natural Hazards, Urban Engineering -,
nourished by these Technical Directions.
Research Divisions
The LCPC has 15 research divisions, called divisions,
services or laboratories. Thirteen are divisions entirely
composed of staff of LCPC, the two other are joint laboratories
with ENPC, CNRS and ENPC or INRETS.
